I am home!!!

Well, I am not offically home, but I am in the United States. We got back Tuesday afternoon, it is so awesome to be back. We are in Colorado right now, and should be getting back to Utah on Sunday. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed and actually see my husband. Since we got back home, Ellis and I have barely seen each other, because the spilt the battalion up to do the de mob process faster. Tomorrow I will find out if I need surgery on my shoulder, it has been dislocating about once a week these days, and is rather paniful. I am trying to decline the surgery from the military, and letting my regular insurance pick up the tab. We shall see how all that goes. So cross your fingers....

Boredom

So the boredom is running thick around here these days. With everything winding down and everyone chomping at the bites to be going home soon. Its lead for some interesting attitudes and arguements. Thankfully, I have not had to much of a problem with my moral sinking. I just keep thinking I am almost done, we are almost home. Ellis and I are getting very excited to returning to a normal life. We are especially getting excited for our road trip, Ellis has been talking about stuff we can do in Louisana while visting Jacey, she is turning into such a beautiful girl. Her grandparents set us some new pictures of her and she really growing up. When we last saw her she still had her cute little baby face, you can see where her face has matured she is such a beatiful girl, she is going to be a heart breaker with her blonde hair and blue eyes. We still can't wait until May, when we should be able to receive full custody of her, we want to wait until she is done with preschool first. It will be challenging taking care of her, with Ellis's job taking him out of town 2 weeks of the month, and with me finishing up school and working full time, but it will all be worth it to have her with us.
We have also had to move out of our nice little trailer we got to live together in, and our now backs in the barracks unfortuntely. I have it a little better than Ellis, that poor guy is sharing a room with 4 guys and his room smells like a foot. Thankfully, I share my room with only 2 other girls and they are very cool about letting Ellis come by and watch a movie with me. So we still get to see each other a little bit, albeit not alone anymore. So thats puts a bit of a strain on our relationship. It almost feels like I am in highschool again and sneaking kisses, so it is rather interesting. But I am willing to give up everything if that means I am getting home sooner.

Christmas and our Anniversary

Christmas was such an awesome day. I was able to trick Ellis, he thought he had guessed all his presents, included the band of the cd I got him. I let him think he was correct in his guesses, because it worked out to my advantage. So he was very happy when he found out he was wrong, he loved the cds he got. He was also quite impressed I remembered the name of the book he wanted, with only looking at it for a second and rolling my eyes at him. Ellis did an awesome job with getting me presents, I told him I wanted clothes. I know, its not something you ask your husband to get you, because they more than likely will get something you hate. But he did a great job picking out the clothes, I was very impressed with them. He got a sweater, a long sleeve shirt, and 2 tshirts.
Our Anniversary unfortunately did not turn out as well as Christmas did. I was promised most of the day off by my boss, and well that unfortunately did not come true. I ended up working 10 hours that day. By the time I got home I was angry and depressed. My husband was very sweet though, he kept calling me thru out the day and telling me he loved me. It was very cute, then he gave me an awesome card, and we had already previously decided to do the actual celebration of our anniversary when we get home. So hopefully my "annviersary" back in the States goes better.

Dust Storm

These pictures are from about a month ago, but I just found them while going through all my pictures. This will show you what a sandstorm is like. They aren't very fun, the sand feels like it is glass and just sanding away on your skin. We have to wear goggles when they are sandstorms, because we've a couple people get really bad eye injuries, from getting the sand in their eyes.

If you look real close you can see the blackhwak outline in this complete dust out picture. This was almost a typical day for us when we had first arrived here, thankfully it is not like that anymore. Now it is just cold.

Our Christmas Room

Sorry we haven't blogged lately we've been very busy. Ellis has been flying a lot lately, he loves all of it, except when he has night flights back to back because then we don't see each other for a couple days. We decorated our room for Christmas, because we both love the Christmas decorations. Mainly the Christmas lights, we love having those up and running. So I will post some of those pictures for you.

Charley Horse

I have been having the worst Charley horses for like the last 2 weeks. And last nights was the worse, my husband and I were laying in bed talking and trying to go to sleep, so I rolled onto my belly, and what should happen. Of course a Charley horse the worse one I've ever had. My entire calf was seized up. I was trying to stretch the muscles but it seemed to have a mind of its own. My husband the ever, knight in shining armor that he is, realized my distress and gave my calf a massage. Which I didn't tell him, was actually fairly painful. It was just so cute that he was willing to help. Eventually it went away, then it was just very tender for the rest of the night. Made sleeping kind of rough, and with me working 12 hours shifts at work right now, that leads for a very long day when you are already tired. So mountain dew has turned into my best friend. My husband watched a video of my nephew, Hunter laughing. And once again is in a baby fever, the poor guys wants a little boy so bad. He has two daughters, I don't know how he will take it, when we have children and I have a little girl. We might have to trade with Kathy for one of her boys. So tomorrow we are going to the science center in Kuwait City, so I will post some pictures of that when I can.
